Ganondagan
January or February 2008
Spent a beautiful winter day at Ganondagan Historic Site, once a vibrant center of the Seneca people. (For more information http://www.ganondagan.org/home.html) It was the annual winter festival, and we got to see snow snake, a traditional winter sport involving a javelin type staff that is shot up a narrow snow track. We also enjoyed storytelling in the Seneca Bark Longhouse and ate the most delicious corn soup. We can't wait to go back next year!
